SMS Terms

Effective October 12, 2026

These SMS Terms explain the text messages you receive through Summon, Inc. ("Summon", "we", "us") when you use valet, parking or vehicle services at a location that uses Summon (the "Operator"). They form part of the Summon Terms of Service.

What we send

Summon sends text messages about your own vehicle and visit, on behalf of the Operator. Depending on the location's settings, these can include:

  • Ticket and vehicle updates, for example when your vehicle is checked in, parked, being pulled, ready for pickup, re-parked or checked out, each with a link to your digital ticket.
  • Reservation confirmations.
  • Receipts and payment confirmations, when you ask for a receipt by text.
  • Updates on services performed on your vehicle (work orders), where the location offers them.
  • Notices that the valet team has sent you a message, with a link to read and reply.
  • Messages written by the Operator's staff about your visit.
  • One-time verification codes when you confirm your phone number.
  • A link to a ticket or to the Summon app when another Summon user shares a ticket with you or invites you.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How you agree to receive texts

You agree to receive these messages when you give your mobile number to the valet or parking staff, or enter it in a Summon app or web page, to receive updates about your vehicle, reservation or receipt. Text receipts are sent only when you ask for one.

How often

Message frequency varies with your visit. A typical valet visit results in about 3 to 5 messages; more are possible if you make a reservation, ask for a receipt or exchange messages with the valet team.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Summon does not charge for these messages. Check your mobile plan for the rates that apply to you.

Opting out and getting help

  • Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from Summon. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You can reply START to receive texts again.
  • Reply HELP to any message for help, or email info@summon.tech.
  • If you have a Summon account, you can also turn off message notifications in your profile settings.

If you opt out, you will no longer receive vehicle updates or links to your ticket by text. You can still ask the valet team about your vehicle in person.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage, so do not rely on texts alone for time-sensitive information.

Your information

We use your phone number only to provide the services described here. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
